Echodyne offers its radars to companies working in Automotive, Transportation, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Border Security, Smart Cities, Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Airspace Management including Urban Air Mobility (UTM).

Echodyne is seeking a Sr. Software Developer in Test to help build our next-generation radar software.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design and implement automated tests for UI (Playwright) and REST APIs using Python

- Analyze product requirements and specifications to create detailed test scenarios and automation suites

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab

- Collaborate with development teams to define automation coverage and improve testability

- Build test tools for reporting, dashboards, and automated notifications

- Apply best practices to ensure thorough, reliable, and maintainable automation

- Support and maintain test infrastructure and environments

- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on automation best practices

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

- 5+ years in test automation, QA engineering, or SDET roles

- Strong hands-on experience with Python, Playwright, and API testing (e.g.: requests, pytest, or Postman)

- Experience working on a stack/product with hardware & software dependencies

- Practical understanding of testing principles, test case design, and QA best practices

- Proficiency with Gitlab for CI/CD and test pipeline integration

- Experience working against Docker environments

- Strong command of Linux environments and Git workflows

- Experience with Appium is a plus

This is an exempt role.

The expected annual salary range for this role is

$137,196—$205,382 USD
