Title: Systems Engineer

EdgeConneX is seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Engineer to support the global enterprise infrastructure. The candidate will play a critical role in deploying, managing and supporting our global virtual and physical server infrastructure, as well as assisting with the configuration and troubleshooting of our network infrastructure. This role requires a self-motivated & proactive individual with a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills. This position is based in either Singapore, Indonesia, or Malaysia at our corporate offices, but can be flexible to one day per week remote. This position could also require as much as 10-20% travel regionally within APAC to support critical issues.

Primary Responsibilities

- Deploy, configure, and maintain physical and virtual server environments (VMware ESXi, vSAN, and SAN).

- Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance to ensure reliability and high availability.

- Administer enterprise storage systems, including SAN, NAS, and vSAN environments.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across compute, storage, and networking systems.

- Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patching of systems to ensure security and stability.

- Manage and configure Cisco network switches in support of server and storage connectivity.

- Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot virtual machines and guest operating systems including Windows Server, Ubuntu, CentOS, and Red Hat Linux.

- Collaborate with the IT team to design and implement network solutions.

- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff as it related to our enterprise networks.

- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

- Provide day-to-day operational support of back-end infrastructure (physical, virtual compute and network)

- Assist in updating network design documentation and schematic diagrams

- Participate in on-call rotation, ensuring uptime of critical servers, networks, and applications.
