Job Summary

As a Software Engineering Manager, you will lead high-performing application development teams to design, build, and deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions that support critical business operations. You will blend technical leadership with people management, driving engineering excellence while fostering a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented team environment. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and external vendors to ensure technology solutions align with organizational goals and deliver measurable value.

This position is 100% onsite, day 1 in our Erlanger, KY office.

- Lead and manage software engineering teams, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development.

- Drive application design, development, and delivery using modern engineering practices and technologies.

- Collaborate with business leaders, architects, and product teams to define and deliver scalable solutions.

- Oversee vendor partnerships and ensure successful delivery of externally supported solutions.

- Establish and enforce development standards, best practices, and governance processes.

- Manage budgets, resources, and project timelines to ensure efficient execution of technology initiatives.

- Provide technical guidance on architecture, system design, and emerging technologies.

- Ensure software quality through testing strategies, code reviews, and performance monitoring.

- Lead continuous improvement efforts, including process optimization and adoption of new tools and frameworks.

- Stay current on industry trends and bring innovative ideas to improve systems and processes.

Required Qualifications:

- 5+ years of experience leading software engineering or application development teams.

- Proven experience delivering complex software solutions in a business-driven environment.

- Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and develop talent.

- Experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with business stakeholders.
