Its robots are engineered to perform a variety of tasks in the home and commercial markets. Figure is headquartered in San Jose, CA.
We are looking for an engineer to join our Middleware team with a passion for helping other teams move fast and fearless, and who appreciates the impact multiplier of that work.
Our middleware is an in-house design focused on efficiency and low latency/jitter. Delivering over 200,000 messages per second between 190 nodes on each robot, zero-copy and lock-free. We work hard to provide abstractions that make using it a pleasant experience for all teams at the company.
Responsibilities
- Design and build the core framework and infrastructure the robot runs on.
- Work directly with client teams to understand how they use it and where it gets in their way.
- Turn that understanding into better abstractions and tooling.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience building production software in C++
