ABOUT THE ROLE
The Systems Engineering Tools & Traceability Engineer will help build the internal platforms and workflows that support development and validation for autonomous vehicle programs at Applied Intuition. You’ll develop scalable backend systems and tooling that connect requirements, modeling, validation, and test data into a unified engineering platform.
This role sits at the intersection of backend infrastructure, systems engineering, and safety-critical development. You’ll work closely with autonomy, safety, and systems engineering teams to improve traceability, automate workflows, and support reliable, production-grade engineering processes across vehicle programs.
AT APPLIED INTUITION, YOU WILL:
- Design, develop, and productionize scalable internal tools and AI workflows that support system engineering and validation for autonomous vehicle programs.
- Integrate data across requirements management, modeling, and validation tools to provide end-to-end traceability from system requirements to test results.
- Build backend services and APIs to unify distributed engineering artifacts into a cohesive, reliable platform.
- Develop dashboards and KPIs to measure requirement coverage, trace completeness, and validation progress.
- Own and evolve the core traceability data model, enabling bidirectional traceability, versioning, baselining, and change impact analysis.
- Refactor internal prototypes into production-grade, certifiable systems with strong reliability, access control, and auditability.
- Collaborate closely with systems engineering, safety, and autonomy teams to ensure tooling supports compliance and safety case development.
