About the role
About Inroads:
Inroads applies data, analytics, technology, research, and content development to co-create services and programs that are personalized, relevant, and engaging for the communities who rely on them. Our deep understanding of digital services, policy implementation, and ways communities consume information allows us to seamlessly integrate with organizations and public sector teams to revolutionize the ways they deliver complex services at scale.
About the role:
This role will primarily support analytics functions that ensure millions of Americans have a positive experience as they interact with high-profile US Government digital services. Our team consists of analysts, developers, engineers, managers, designers, and several key client stakeholders. The successful candidate in this role will help streamline customer journey reporting by configuring repeatable data workflows and data transfer. This role will also ensure that critical front- and back-end features are measurable.
The baseline tech stack for this role includes: log monitoring tools like Splunk or CloudWatch; data warehouse and storage software (strong preference for Databricks); data processing in AWS or Azure cloud environments; and familiarity with common API inputs/outputs.
In this position, you will:
- Interact with the tech stack described above to design and orchestrate data workflows.
- Support a high-profile service that millions of Americans rely on annually.
- Interact with cross-disciplinary skill sets to achieve accurate, streamlined reporting for our government client.
- Develop repeatable data workflows between cloud and on-prem environments, ultimately landing in Databricks for reporting access to PowerBI.
- Implement workflow efficiencies that align to new features and program components as our client’s priorities may periodically change.
- Collaborate with our client’s other technical teams to interrogate discrepancies and modify our data model for consistent cross-team reporting.
What we are seeking:
- An undergraduate degree plus 4+ years of progressive experience analyzing data or supporting analytics workflows; or 6+ years of highly relevant experience without an undergraduate degree.
- Foundational understanding of customer journey mapping for a high-volume consumer-facing web application.
- Experience working with production program data in Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or another data warehousing software.
- Comfortable providing your technical perspective during solutioning sessions to objectively meet data processing, reporting, or other analytics goals.
- Track record of deriving data processing requirements from product designs, business goals, and other big-picture or less technical guidelines.
- Advanced proficiency using SQL, Python, or R to inspect and manipulate datasets.
- The ability to successfully attain and maintain a Federal Public Trust security clearance, as required by our government clients. U.S. citizenship is required for this role.
