About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Boston. This role is ideal for an experienced full-stack or backend-oriented engineer who enjoys building scalable systems, collaborating across product and engineering, and contributing to high-impact platform capabilities.

You will work closely with engineering, product, and data teams to design, build, and maintain services and user-facing functionality that support Pixability’s video advertising optimization platform. This is a hybrid role based in Boston, with an expectation to work from the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Responsibilities

- Build, maintain, and improve backend services, APIs, and platform capabilities.

- Contribute to frontend development where needed, particularly in React-based applications.

- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and data teams to deliver reliable, scalable features.

- Work with cloud infrastructure, databases, and modern engineering tooling.

- Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and technical planning.

- Write unit and integration tests to ensure quality, reliability, and maintainability.

- Help improve engineering practices, code quality, and team delivery processes.

- Support the product and engineering roadmap and contribute to squad-level technical decision-making.

Requirements

- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.

- Strong backend development experience, preferably with Python.

- Experience with data pipelines or large-scale systems.

- Experience building production web applications, APIs, and distributed systems.
