About the role
SkyePoint Decisions is a leading Cybersecurity Architecture and Engineering, Critical Infrastructure and Operations, and Applications Development and Maintenance IT service provider headquartered in Dulles, Virginia with operations across the U.S. We provide innovative enterprise-wide solutions as well as targeted services addressing the complex challenges faced by our federal government clients. Our focus is on enabling our clients to deliver their mission most efficiently and effectively – anytime, anywhere, securely. We combine technical expertise, mission awareness, and an empowered workforce to produce meaningful results.
SkyePoint Decisions is seeking an experienced Power Platform and Copilot Studio Developer to serve as the primary developer for an AI-powered email triage and security advisory capability within the Department of State. This role is responsible for the end-to-end build of a Power Automate email monitoring workflow, Microsoft Copilot Studio conversational agent, SharePoint knowledge base connectors, and ServiceNow ITSM bidirectional integration.
This position is based on-site at the Beltsville, MD office, with occasional travel to the Washington, DC office.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and test Power Automate flows to monitor a shared Exchange Online mailbox, extract email content, classify request type, and route to appropriate Copilot Studio topics.
- Build and maintain Microsoft Copilot Studio conversational topics covering the top 20 advisory use cases including CVE remediation, patch guidance, legacy protocol elimination, and security hygiene.
- Implement SharePoint Online knowledge base connectors using Azure AI Search for RAG-based retrieval against program playbooks, CISA KEV feed, NVD data, and vendor advisories.
- Implement ServiceNow ITSM bidirectional integration: ticket search/lookup by CVE, asset, or user data extracted from email; ticket context retrieval for AI prompt enrichment; ticket update with correspondence, AI-generated guidance, analyst name, and case ID.
- Build the program analyst human validation queue — the review and approve workflow that gates AI responses before delivery to users.
- Implement CUI data extraction and vaulting logic — stripping IP addresses, hostnames, and usernames before AI processing and preserving them in a separate audit log.
- Integrate auto-acknowledgment flow generating YYYY-NNNN case IDs and immediate responses to senders.
- Build the SharePoint case log that captures every inbound email, request classification, AI confidence score, response status, and resolution summary.
- Coordinate with the Azure OpenAI / AI Engineer on prompt context assembly and with the ServiceNow Developer on SNOW API integration.
- Support the Day 30, Day 60, and Day 90 demonstrations to program leadership.
- Produce technical documentation for handoff to DOS staff and steady-state operations.
