Position Overview:

- Plan – with Product and Engineering to create aligned roadmap and backlogs, understand/manage input, throughput, and capacity.

- Execute – with the team to deliver the committed projects, on time within budget with quality, help manage changes/disruptions to the team, partner with other managers/teams adhering to best practices, process and audit constraints.

- Communicate – keep both stakeholders and team informed on status, issues and risks.

- Grow – coach and develop team, identify and work to close talent/resource gaps, identify and work to introduce new technologies to our solutions.

- Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery.

- Provide hands-on technical leadership to teammates through delivery of quality solutions to technical problems.

- Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.

- Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans.

- Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.

- Provide guidance on resolving technical and application problems.

- Assess opportunities for application and process improvement and prepare documentation of rationale to share with regional R&D Director, team members and other affected parties.

- Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget.

- Analyze system specifications and translate system requirements to task specifications for less experienced software engineers.

- Participate in agile estimations, planning, daily ceremonies and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement in team and personal performance.

- Deliver maximum value to the customer, ensuring that all involved have the resources they need, are communicating well, and are shielded from distractions and interruptions.

- Responsible for keeping time goals clear and visible to teams. Facilitate daily stand-ups “check-ins”, Planning, Showcases and Retrospectives.

- Coach teams to victory by guiding effective ways to communicate project visions, that inspires team to achieve.
