Serves as the senior technical authority for network architecture, systems engineering, and technical integration across a consolidated, multi-site DoD enterprise. Owns technical solution integrity, engineering change management, secure architecture, and technical risk across all supported installations, spanning both legacy sustainment and modernization.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Serves as technical lead for network infrastructure design, sustainment, and lifecycle / technology refresh across all supported sites.
- Owns the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process and the technical configuration baseline.
- Ensures interoperability across consolidated legacy systems and leads technical transition planning.
- Provides engineering authority for secure and classified mission systems and their required availability.
- Coordinates with cybersecurity / ISSM staff on secure architecture and Risk Management Framework (RMF) / Authority to Operate (ATO) engineering decisions.
