Autonomy & Machine Learning Engineer
Isengard Industries Inc, Tampa, Florida
About the job
Build the autonomy stack powering our counter-UAS and precision-strike systems: perception, tracking, and real-time decision-making that has to work the first time, every time, in contested electromagnetic environments. You’ll own problems from sensor fusion through closed-loop control, working closely with hardware and field ops.
Founded by Francisco Serra-Martins, who previously scaled Terminal Autonomy to $60M in revenue with customers including the U.S. Army, NATO, and Ukrainian armed forces, and James Tennant, a former Australian Army officer turned defense-tech investor. We’re a small team building autonomy that has to work without reliable GPS or comms, in contested electromagnetic environments where failure isn’t an option.
You’ll work in C++ and CUDA on embedded hardware, optimizing for low-latency inference in the loop, with your work validated directly against field test data coming back from Ukraine.
In your first 30 days, you’ll get up to speed on our stack and ship your first improvement to our perception or tracking pipeline. By 60 days, you’ll own a core piece of the autonomy stack end to end. By 90 days, you’ll be shipping improvements validated directly against field test data.
