Founding Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

You will be our first ML hire. You will own the models and agents that do the billing work, plus the evals and data pipelines behind them, and you will decide how we build all of it.

You have 7+ years building ML systems and have shipped LLM or agent systems that real users depend on. You know how to design evals, when to fine-tune, and how to keep cost and latency in check in production. Healthcare experience is a plus.

On-site in San Francisco. $350K to $400K base, 1% to 2% equity. US-based candidates with existing US work authorization only; we do not sponsor visas.

Taiga is building autonomous medical billing. We are a small team in San Francisco, backed by Y Combinator.
