About the role
This role supports electrical, mechanical, and software tasks, under the direction of an experienced engineering team. The ideal candidate is someone who is eager to build systems that solve real-world problems, with the ability to critically evaluate signals and systems outputs.
What you'll do
- Design and lay out simple PCBs (sensor breakouts, interface boards, test fixtures)
- Solder and rework SMD and through-hole components; assemble and debug prototype PCB boards
- Write firmware for microcontroller-based test setups (data acquisition, motor/valve control, serial communication)
- Build user interfaces for bench instruments and control tools
