We’re hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to help build and scale the core infrastructure behind our document intelligence and workflow platform. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys designing reliable, high-performance systems and taking ownership of backend architecture in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment.

You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and customer-facing teams to deliver systems that are fast, resilient, and deeply aligned with customer needs.

You’ll play a key role in shaping the systems that power Feathery’s platform — ensuring they are reliable, scalable, and built to handle complex, real-world use cases.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

BACKEND SYSTEMS & INFRASTRUCTURE

- Design, build, and scale backend services that power document processing and workflow automation

- Develop asynchronous pipelines and distributed systems for handling large volumes of data

- Build and maintain infrastructure using AWS services and queueing systems (e.g., SQS)

- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and observability across systems

- Optimize systems for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency
