THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Machine Learning Engineering Manager to lead our team in building an advanced personalization platform for online services. You will oversee a dynamic, interdisciplinary team comprising software engineers, data scientists, and machine learning engineers, focusing on implementing and optimising machine learning models for search, recommendations, and hyper-personalization. The platform serves millions of requests daily, powered by Python microservices and processes billions of data points to hyper-personalise the customer experience. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the team to achieve technical excellence and deliver cutting-edge solutions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO - Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, data scientists, and machine learning engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

- Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for machine learning projects focused on search and recommendations, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

- Provide technical guidance and oversight for the design, implementation, and optimization of machine learning models and systems.

- Oversee the development of end-to-end machine learning solutions, including architecture implementation, data pipeline construction, model serving solutions, and productionizing models.

- Work closely with senior leadership, product managers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements, set priorities, and ensure successful project delivery.

- Ensure the quality and reliability of machine learning models and systems through rigorous testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement practices.

- Foster technological innovation within the team, encouraging the adoption of state-of-the-art techniques and tools, and ensuring the team's output evolves with industry advancements.
