We are growing Our Sports every day by continuing to invest in our ever-expanding ecosystem, which consists of over a dozen sport verticals and hundreds of streaming partners. FloSports is creating the home for college conferences/leagues and sports like grappling, hockey, track & field, racing, cheer, wrestling, and more, and we are looking for innovative and passionate people like you to help us!
THE ROLE
We are seeking a Senior Native Apps Engineer to join our mobile and TV platform squad, building and evolving the streaming experiences that bring fans closer to the sports they love. This role is primarily hands-on, writing native iOS and Android code, with the expectation of contributing across our TV platforms (Apple TV, Fire TV/Android TV, Roku) as needed. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in at least one mobile platform, a willingness to work across all of them, and a strong command of AI-assisted development workflows that accelerate delivery and elevate team productivity. This is a high-growth position with a clear path toward Staff-level engineering leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain native iOS and Android applications, delivering high-quality streaming experiences at scale.
- Contribute to TV platform applications (Apple TV, Fire TV/Android TV, Roku) alongside a team of cross-platform engineers.
- Partner with BFF engineers to define API contracts and server-driven UI patterns that power the native experience layer.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate personal and team productivity, and champion adoption of these workflows across the squad.
- Drive architectural decisions for the native platform, establishing shared patterns, reusable components, and cross-platform consistency.
- Partner with product, design, and engineering leadership to translate business objectives into well-scoped technical work.
- Collaborate closely with team members and contractors, contributing to quality standards and knowledge sharing across the squad.
- Identify and address technical debt that impacts platform stability, performance, or developer velocity.
- Champion best practices around app security, crash reporting, observability, and release quality.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong proficiency in Swift and Kotlin with hands-on experience shipping production mobile applications.
- Deep understanding of native mobile development patterns, architecture, and platform-specific best practices.
- Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) and a track record of using them to accelerate delivery.
