This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AWS Connect Developer based in the United States.

As an AWS Connect Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain cloud-based contact center solutions supporting a federal civilian agency. You will leverage Amazon Connect and AWS serverless technologies to build scalable, secure, and reliable customer interaction platforms. Your work will include developing advanced IVR workflows, Python-based Lambda functions, and secure API integrations that connect contact center services with enterprise applications and data systems. You will also automate infrastructure provisioning and software delivery using Terraform and GitLab CI/CD pipelines. Collaborating with technical stakeholders, you will troubleshoot complex issues, optimize platform performance, and ensure compliance with security requirements. Accountabilities: - Design, develop, configure, and maintain Amazon Connect contact flows, including contact attributes, queue routing, call transfers, IVR branching, and error-handling mechanisms to deliver seamless customer experiences.

- Develop and maintain Python-based AWS Lambda functions to extend contact center capabilities, validate integration responses, manage execution timeouts, and handle downstream service failures reliably.

- Design, implement, and optimize DynamoDB data models, including partition keys, sort keys, and indexes, to support efficient contact center data storage and retrieval while minimizing hot partitions and throttling.

- Build and maintain secure RESTful API integrations using Amazon API Gateway and AWS Lambda, incorporating request validation, authentication, authorization, data transformation, and reliable error handling.

- Provision, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform, ensuring consistency, scalability, and security across deployment environments.

- Develop and manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, support code reviews, and facilitate controlled promotion of applications and infrastructure changes across environments.

- Implement security best practices, including least-privilege access permissions, secure integration boundaries, and controlled diagnostic logging to protect sensitive customer and contact center data.

- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex platform issues involving call routing, latency, availability, and service performance using Amazon CloudWatch diagnostics and contact center metrics.

- Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, scalability, and performance through continuous monitoring, optimization, and engineering improvements.

- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation covering contact flow logic, integration specifications, deployment procedures, and system recovery processes.
