About the role
We're FTMO's platform frontend team: 7 people who own almost the entire frontend of the company. We have plenty of projects, more are coming, and we want every one of them: each is a new chance to grow. We know the goals, so we don't wait for a brief. We work closely with the team, but we write the brief ourselves.
We're looking for a product engineer, not a ticket-clicker. Someone with no walls between frontend, design, product and business, who owns the problem, the trade-offs and the result, and who spots something broken and fixes it before a colleague does.
We are a Czech team, so we are looking for someone with fluent Czech language.
We're here to help FTMO become a global trading powerhouse. And frontend plays a much bigger part in that than most people think.
WHY THIS MIGHT BE EXACTLY RIGHT FOR YOU?
- Ownership of the whole outcome. You don't just implement what someone mocked up. You own the problem, the trade-offs and the impact on the customer.
- You can get a playground you can actually play in. You get space, trust and real projects. Your ideas won't die in a backlog, they'll reach customers.
- AI isn't decoration, it's the baseline. We use it every day: in code, in workflows and in the product.
- Frontend boundaries don't stop us. If you need to reach into the API, the data, the design or a prototype of a business idea, you just do it (or pull in people who know how, and learn from them).
- You're not alone. We work independently, but as one team. We're easily interchangeable, we know each other's code, and communication is our foundation.
WHAT YOU'LL DO?
- Own and evolve FTMO's frontend together with the team: from new product features to the platform foundations everything else stands on. That also includes internal tools: optimize, automate and improve anything that needs it.
- Work closely with designers, product people and all our other colleagues: shape what we build and why, not just how.
- Come up with your own ideas with measurable impact, then prototype them, test them and push them forward.
- Make architectural decisions: app structure, shared components and libraries, performance, quality, developer experience.
- Work with AI tools and agents as a standard part of development, and help define what AI-native frontend development looks like here.
- Be a knowledge multiplier: share what you learn, do code reviews, pair, mentor and raise the bar for others.
- Sometimes there's a lot of work. Then the best memes get shared and things get finished. We know our limits, but we push them because we enjoy it. WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR?
- You have experience, but we care about potential just as much. Next.js, TanStack Query and the rest of the stack are our baseline and don't need to be named. It's not about technologies these days, and we know it.
- You have a feel for frontend architecture, performance, code quality and UX, and you care about getting the details perfect.
