This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Java Product Engineer / Full Stack Java Developer based in the United States.

The Java Product Engineer / Full Stack Java Developer will design, develop, modernize, and support enterprise software applications in mission-critical environments. You will build scalable backend services and full-stack solutions using modern Java technologies, Spring Boot, Oracle databases, and contemporary front-end frameworks. Working across the full software development lifecycle, you will take ownership of technical solutions from requirements analysis and architecture through deployment and ongoing support. You will contribute to application modernization initiatives, improving the performance, security, reliability, and maintainability of complex enterprise systems. In close collaboration with architects, business stakeholders, QA specialists, and Agile development teams, you will translate business needs into effective technical solutions. This is an opportunity to work on large-scale enterprise and federal technology projects while strengthening your expertise in modern software engineering and DevOps practices.

Accountabilities The Java Product Engineer will take ownership of enterprise application development and modernization, ensuring that software solutions meet technical, operational, and business requirements. Key responsibilities include:

Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and modernize enterprise Java applications using Java 17 or later.

Build scalable backend microservices and RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Spring MVC.

Develop full-stack web applications using modern front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.

Analyze existing enterprise applications and contribute to modernization initiatives involving Java, C/C++, COBOL, Pro*C, Oracle, and related technologies.

Develop and maintain application data access layers using Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, and JDBC.

Design complex SQL queries, PL/SQL procedures, stored procedures, and batch processing solutions.

Optimize Oracle and other relational database performance through efficient query design, database access patterns, and performance tuning.

Design secure, scalable, and maintainable application architectures using object-oriented principles and established software design patterns.

Develop and support cloud-native applications and containerized deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, or Red Hat OpenShift.

Design, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs for enterprise applications and distributed systems.

Develop automated unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito to maintain application quality and reliability.
