As a Staff Forward Deployed Software Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of innovative software solutions that address complex customer and partner requirements. You will take ownership of medium- to large-scale engineering projects, combining hands-on development with technical leadership and customer collaboration. Working closely with internal engineering, product, and delivery teams, you will translate business needs into scalable, secure, and reliable technical solutions. You will also serve as a trusted technical advisor, guiding stakeholders through implementation decisions and ensuring successful project delivery. Your work will focus on backend systems, full-stack applications, and integrations that support modern digital identity and credentialing technologies. Accountabilities: - Lead medium- to large-scale software engineering projects from initial requirements gathering and technical planning through implementation, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.

- Work directly with customers and external partners to understand their technical requirements, identify business needs, align priorities, and manage expectations throughout project delivery.

- Own technical architecture, design, and implementation decisions, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with customer objectives.

- Design, develop, and maintain backend systems, full-stack web applications, APIs, and integrations supporting digital identity and credentialing solutions.

- Translate complex customer requirements into clear technical specifications, implementation strategies, and actionable project plans.

- Collaborate with engineering, product, and delivery teams to coordinate dependencies, resolve technical blockers, and ensure high-quality project execution.

- Act as a primary technical point of contact for customers and partners, providing updates on project progress, technical decisions, potential risks, and recommended solutions.

- Support integrations with customer infrastructure, third-party services, and legacy systems, ensuring interoperability and reliable performance.

- Proactively identify technical challenges, project dependencies, and delivery risks while recommending improvements to engineering workflows and implementation processes.

- Contribute to code reviews, testing, technical documentation, and engineering best practices to maintain high standards of software quality.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to fellow engineers, encouraging knowledge sharing, collaboration, and continuous development.
