The Data Warehouse Platforms Engineering Shared Services & Software Development (DWSV) team is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to join a large, complex product development environment. This role focuses on supporting all aspects of agile software design and development for products deployed across large-scale compute clusters. Responsibilities include designing and building new capabilities, conducting testing, optimizing performance, and supporting ongoing operations and sustainment. As a Senior Cloud Software Engineer, you will operate with a high degree of independence across the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Design and implement scalable solutions, including integration and extension of COTS and GOTS products. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues while optimizing system performanceProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Contribute to project planning by defining tasks, timelines, and technical approaches. Develop and execute test cases, create SOPs, and maintain technical documentation. Review system designs for accuracy, completeness, and scalability

Provide cloud software research, development, and engineering services to include requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, sustainment, testing, validation, and issue diagnosis/resolution.

Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).

Capabilities - Designs, develops, and implements secure cloud-based solutions that support scalable, resilient, and mission-critical environments.

- Responsible for architecting cloud infrastructure, developing detailed technical plans, and defining specifications to support the deployment of modern cloud platforms and services.

- Collaborates closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define requirements and develop specifications for new cloud[1]based products, services, applications, and enterprise solutions.

- Leads the deployment and integration of cloud management platforms, continuously evaluating system performance and implementing enhancements to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.

- Supports the development and expansion of a cloud services portfolio, including value-added capabilities that enhance enterprise infrastructure and mission support.

- Develops solution recommendations and prepares Basis of Estimate (BOE) documentation for cloud initiatives.
