What you'll do:

Technical Leadership & Architecture

· Lead the design and architecture of scalable, resilient, and high-performance data platforms on Google Cloud (GCP).

· Define and implement data engineering best practices, including data modeling, pipeline orchestration, and data governance.

· Architect solutions using Big Data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop ecosystem, and distributed systems.

· Ensure alignment to enterprise data strategy, including data products, SSoT, and platform standardization.

Engineering & Delivery

· Drive end-to-end data pipeline development using Scala, Spark, and modern ETL/ELT frameworks.

· Lead development of batch and real-time data processing pipelines leveraging GCP services like BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage.

· Ensure high code quality, performance optimization, and scalability across data systems.

· Oversee production stability, incident management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Team Leadership & People Management

· Manage and mentor a high-performing team of data engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and technical excellence.

· Drive talent development, performance management, and succession planning.

· Promote a collaborative environment across cross-functional teams including Product, Architecture, and Business stakeholders.

Strategy & Stakeholder Engagement

· Partner with senior leadership to translate business priorities into data engineering roadmaps.

· Lead discussions with stakeholders on architecture decisions, trade-offs, and technology adoption.

· Drive platform modernization initiatives, migration strategies, and cloud adoption programs.
