About the role
fal is the generative media ecosystem powering the next generation of AI products. We build the infrastructure, tools, and model access that teams need to move from idea to production, and do it at scale without compromise. For developers and enterprises, fal is the foundation that makes generative media not just possible, but practical: a unified platform where high-performance inference, orchestration, and observability come together to unlock new categories of AI-native products.
As generative media reshapes industries across a market projected to grow by hundreds of billions over the next decade, fal is becoming the ecosystem that ambitious teams build on.
ABOUT THIS ROLE:
We’re looking for a Vendor Management professional to own relationships and performance across GPU infrastructure providers, hyperscalers, and neocloud partners. You’ll drive vendor accountability, manage SLAs and escalations, oversee contracts and service credits, and align GPU capacity with business demand.
Working cross-functionally with Capacity Planning, Finance, and leadership, you’ll strengthen vendor governance, lead business reviews, and mitigate supply constraints. The ideal candidate has direct experience managing infrastructure providers, negotiating commercial commitments, and building scalable vendor management processes in a fast-growing AI infrastructure environment.
What you'll do:
- Own vendor performance across GPU hyperscalers and neocloud providers by defining and tracking SLAs, managing escalations, remedies, and service credits, and holding partners accountable to their commitments.
- Build strategic relationships with key infrastructure partners through regular business reviews and executive engagement with Tier 1 vendors.
- Align capacity to demand by partnering with Capacity Planning to secure committed GPU capacity, forecast growth, and mitigate supply constraints.
- Own vendor governance including contract compliance, invoice reconciliation, renewals, and performance reporting.
- Run regular business reviews with vendor partners to discuss performance, open credit claims, capacity planning, and outstanding issues.
Requirements/Nice to have:
- 5+ years in vendor management, cloud partnerships, strategic sourcing, or infrastructure procurement within the AI, GPU, cloud, or hyperscale infrastructure industry.
- Must have worked directly with neocloud, hyperscaler, or GPU infrastructure providers, owning commercial relationships and vendor performance.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, able to manage contract records, reconcile invoices, calculate credits, and maintain accurate vendor documentation.
- Comfortable owning vendor escalations, running QBRs and scorecards, and communicating effectively with both executive vendor contacts and internal stakeholders.
- You've managed multi-vendor allocation by priority during shortages.
