Software Development Engineer in Test
Ease Health, Remote (US)
About the job
The role
When software runs a clinic's admissions, notes, and billing, a bug isn't an inconvenience: it's a missed claim or a clinician who can't sign a note. You'll own how we keep quality high while shipping in days, across an AI-native platform where some of the most important outputs come from LLMs and agents. You'll be one of the first people on the team focused on this full time, so the approach is yours to define.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain automated testing across the stack and wire it into CI/CD so we ship with confidence
- Design ways to test non-deterministic systems: LLM outputs, agents, and AI features in clinical workflows
- Find the edge cases, race conditions, and compliance gaps in billing and scheduling before customers do
- Work with engineers while features are being built, not after
- Set our testing philosophy and the tools the whole team uses
What we look for
- 4+ years of experience (ideally 8+) in software engineering or test automation
- Sharp, fast problem solving and the curiosity to learn how behavioral health workflows really work
