The Alexa Shopping team is bringing the full power of Amazon.com to conversational and chat interfaces, reimagining how customers discover products, manage their lists, buy everyday essentials and groceries, and make confident purchase decisions through voice, touch, and generative AI.

This is a 0→1 opportunity. We're looking for a Software Development Manager to lead a high-performing engineering team that owns how Alexa Shopping builds software: an AI-native development platform that takes a customer experience from idea to production and keeps improving it after launch. The role spans three connected areas. The first is developer experience, with agentic tooling that carries engineers from requirements through design, build, test, and release. The second is quality intelligence, a framework that defines and enforces the quality bar for everything Alexa Shopping ships. The third is an AI-enabled reinforcement loop that turns live production signals into detected defects, drafted fixes, and regression gates. You'll make the foundational architectural calls and set the technical direction the rest of the org builds against.
