We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support a DoD customer with storage and backup requirements across multiple on-premises and cloud environments. The selected candidate will provide engineering and administration support.

Responsibilities Include:

- Responsible for effective provisioning, operation, installation/configuration, and maintenance of systems hardware/software/related infrastructure.

- Provides technical support, guidance and hands-on delivery in the planning, implementation, and ongoing operations.

- Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.

- Ensured that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values and regulatory requirements.

- Documents specifications, project plans, configurations, test plans and results.

- Depicts complex ideas, issues, and designs to varied audiences; communicates project objectives, scope and status to project teams.

- Develops, integrates, and oversees storage arrays, fiber switches, backup solutions, and associated components.

- Monitors and reports on existing data restore and disaster recovery capabilities.

- Provides recommendations on process improvement/efficiencies.

- Maintains and oversees data backup solutions to ensure mission objective are met.

- Researches, builds, and implements file sharing technologies to meet customer requirements.

- Troubleshoots and advises on advanced storage issues/deficiencies.

- Performs routine equipment checks and preventative maintenance.

- Performs storage analysis, capacity planning, and performance planning of storage components.

- Authors and reviews operational procedures/documentation in relation to new and existing technologies.

- Authors/documents policies and procedures to support the operational storage environment and participates in the design and ongoing refinement of procedures and policies.

- Prepares reports on storage administration best practices, new technologies, etc., and recommends enhancements and configuration changes to improve and optimize existing storage technologies.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

- Experience:

- Three (3) years of overall professional experience in the engineering field. This includes evaluating, constructing, and integrating enterprise-level storage and backup software technologies.
