About the role
OWN THE INTERFACES INTO THE RECALL PLATFORM AND ACROSS THE COMPANY
At Recall.ai http://Recall.ai, we are building the API to record, understand and search conversations as context for AI. Making our users successful is a highly technical product problem. Our users have no priors to compare us to and there is no competition to copy ideas from.
We raised a $38M Series B led by Bessemer on the back of fast growth and a customer list of major names. We've done it all with a small team. You’ll build software that helps our customers and that team accomplish much more, and explore how a company can operate with today’s AI models.
You’ll be our 12th engineering hire and the first fully dedicated to customer, agentic, and internal interfaces.
You’ll find the right problems, own the roadmap, and build features thousands of companies and your coworkers rely on every day.
WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT
- You’ll own entire products within the platform and across the company, from the dashboard to the MCP to internal tools and whatever is next. You’ll figure out how to deliver an exceptional experience to our customers and coworkers.
- Recall is critical infrastructure processing real-time data. Going down, even for a couple of seconds, causes major disruptions. We own the reliability of our infrastructure. You’ll own the product experience that helps customers build reliably on top of it.
- Our job is to offload highly technical workloads from our customers and their agents. Your job is making product decisions at the intersection of that technical depth and our customer needs to make our products “just work”.
- You’ll work on problems that affect revenue and people’s day-to-day work, from billing errors to slow contract approvals. Your first internal customers will be sales and finance, but your mission is company-wide.
- You’ll work directly with the people using your tools, from engineers integrating Recall to coworkers running the business. You’ll figure out what to solve.
- You’ll have access to the latest AI models, unlimited tokens, and time to experiment. We’re already using Claude for office operations.
- Building Recall is hard. You’ll make sure using it isn’t.
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
- The dashboard and MCP. You’ll own the experience engineers and their agents have while integrating, debugging and supporting the Recall platform.
- Internal products. Build workflows that cross teams, understand what's broken and slow, and build the solution. Revenue tooling is first: getting contracts signed, helping sales close deals, and making sure customers are billed correctly. As you learn the business, you’ll decide where to expand next.
- Product roadmap. You’ll interview users, analyze user behavior and run experiments to validate your hypotheses. Work with customers, sales, finance, and other teams to understand broken workflows, challenge proposed solutions, and define practical projects. You’ll figure out what needs to be solved next to have the most impact.
