About the role
What Impact You'll Have
GRVTY is searching for personnel experienced in enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) platforms, with primary focus on Strategy (MicroStrategy) Developers and Architects. The preferred candidate will leverage strong foundational BI principles to facilitate the identification, definition, and documentation of client needs and will decide as to which Business Intelligence/Strategy functionality will best support the customer's long and short-term needs. The candidate must be able to create supporting metadata objects, reports and dashboards using the latest version of Strategy, as well as acting as client liaison to support ad hoc demonstrations and interactive design sessions with clients. While Strategy is our primary ecosystem, we welcome candidates with a robust mix of complementary BI tool experience (such as PowerBI, Tableau, or Qlik) who can bring multi-platform perspectives to our architecture. The preferred candidate will act as part analyst/part developer/part architect and will be working with clients extensively. Day-to-day expectations are to work as part of a scrum agile team to design, configure, troubleshoot, and develop Strategy products in line with client requirements.
What You'll be Owning
- Identify, define, and document client business intelligence needs
- Serve and Subject Matter Expert to determine which Strategy functionality best supports short and long-term goals, incorporating supplemental BI best practices where applicable
- Build metadata objects, reports, and dashboards using the latest version of Strategy
- Act as client liaison during ad hoc demonstrations and design sessions
- Design, configure, troubleshoot, and develop Strategy products within a Scrum team
- Balance analyst, developer, and architect responsibilities across client engagements, leveraging a broad understanding of the BI landscape
- Communicate clearly and solve problems with clients and teammates
What You Must Have
- Must have an active US government top secret clearance to be eligible.
- 5 years of experience developing and supporting Business Intelligence applications, specifically Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy), including SDK and RestAPI (mstrio-Py) utilization. Alternatively, a combination of at least 3 years in Strategy and 2 years in other BI applications (e.g., PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau, Cognos, or similar) to meet the 5-year total will be considered
- Serve as Strategy SME, guiding architecture and identifying efficiencies across platform capabilities (Mosaic, HyperIntelligence cards, etc.)
- Experience with Strategy Workstation or Developer, including dynamic dossiers, report development, and project design (facts, attributes, hierarchies, aggregation, portal integration)
- Experience with Strategy schema definition, design, implementation, and maintenance (or proven experience mapping equivalent semantic/enterprise data architecture layers in alternative enterprise BI suites)
