About the role
WorldQuant develops and deploys systematic financial strategies across a broad range of asset classes and global markets. We seek to produce high-quality predictive signals (alphas) through our proprietary research platform to employ financial strategies focused on market inefficiencies. Our teams work collaboratively to drive the production of alphas and financial strategies – the foundation of a balanced, global investment platform.
WorldQuant is built on a culture that pairs academic sensibility with accountability for results. Employees are encouraged to think openly about problems, balancing intellectualism and practicality. Excellent ideas come from anyone, anywhere. Employees are encouraged to challenge conventional thinking and possess an attitude of continuous improvement.
Our goal is to hire the best and the brightest. We value intellectual horsepower first and foremost, and people who demonstrate an outstanding talent. There is no roadmap to future success, so we need people who can help us build it.
The Role: We are looking for a Quantitative Developer to join our team in Vietnam. - Investigate technical issues across applications, data processes, and infrastructure; contribute well-tested fixes under guidance
- Design, build, and maintain internal tools, automation, interfaces, and services that improve business workflows
- Improve system reliability, observability, documentation, and team productivity
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions
- Contribute to code reviews, testing, release validation, and user documentation
- Assist the on-call team with incident triage, diagnostics, communication, validation, and follow-up activities
- Identify repetitive manual tasks and build automation to reduce operational overhead
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor's/ Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Solid practical experience in Python and/or C++
- Good knowledge of Bash scripting and Linux environments
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
- Interest in automation, production systems, operational tooling, and reliable software delivery
- Strong analytical and logical thinking, with a methodical approach to solving problems
