Business Intelligence Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Intelligence Developer based in the United States.

The Business Intelligence Developer will design, develop, and maintain data infrastructure and reporting solutions that support informed decision-making across a national healthcare network. This role combines advanced SQL development, database management, ETL processes, and custom business intelligence reporting. You will build reliable data pipelines, scalable database structures, and reporting tools that transform complex information into actionable insights. A key focus will be developing solutions within the Epic ecosystem, including Cogito reporting tools, dashboards, and Reporting Workbench. Working closely with internal teams, healthcare network members, and external vendors, you will translate business needs into effective technical solutions. This is a fully remote opportunity for an experienced BI professional who enjoys solving complex data challenges and contributing to technology that supports healthcare access and quality.

Accountabilities: -

Design, develop, and maintain database objects, including tables, stored procedures, functions, and views, to support reporting, analytics, and data integration requirements.

Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries to ensure reliable data access and efficient reporting performance.

Develop secure and automated file extraction and delivery processes, including data transfers through SFTP.

Build and maintain custom reporting solutions within Epic Hyperspace, including Reporting Workbench, Cogito SQL reports, Radar dashboards, and related Cogito configuration elements.

Manage the full reporting development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through development, testing, documentation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Develop scalable data structures and dependable ETL processes to support business intelligence and data integration needs.

Conduct automated and manual quality assurance testing, support user acceptance testing, and ensure reporting solutions meet defined requirements.

Lead working sessions with network members, third-party vendors, and internal teams to understand reporting needs and design appropriate technical solutions.

Document technical solutions, development processes, and system procedures to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.

Perform additional responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

-

At least 5 years of experience in Information Technology or a related field.

A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience developing complex SQL queries and database solutions.
