About The Role
Weβre looking for a Senior Unity Developer to strengthen our team and help us deliver exciting new game features. We value engineers who can take ownership, work independently, and deliver high-quality results while staying closely aligned with the team, our engineering principles, and the broader goals of the product.
Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end development of game features (including UI), gameplay and framework systems, and tools, taking responsibility for their technical design, maintainability, performance, and alignment with the project's code.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve issues in existing systems and codebases, including debugging, fixing bugs, refactoring, reworking problematic areas, and optimizing performance when needed, with the goal of maintaining and progressively improving overall product quality.
- Evaluate, integrate, and maintain third-party SDKs, services, and tools.
- Collaborate with fellow developers, share knowledge and experience, and contribute to software design, code reviews and mentoring when needed.
- Collaborate with game designers, artists, and other team members to clarify requirements, gather missing information, and refine solutions. Work closely with QA to ensure effective testing and high-quality results.
What We Expect
- Experience: 5+ years of professional game development experience in teams with launched mobile titles.
- Unity: Strong practical knowledge of Unity and its core systems, with the ability to navigate unfamiliar areas of the engine and tackle a wide range of technical challenges.
- C#: Strong proficiency in C# and a broad understanding of software engineering concepts, including asynchronous programming, concurrency, event-driven architectures, resource management etc. Proven ability to design maintainable and extensible systems, apply design patterns and principles pragmatically.
- Performance: Strong understanding of game performance bottlenecks across memory, CPU, GPU, and loading times, with the ability to profile, debug, and resolve performance issues for mobile platforms.
- AI Proficiency: Effective use of AI-assisted development tools, with the ability to critically evaluate generated code, recognize its limitations and risks, and maintain long-term code quality and maintainability.
- Product Mindset: Genuine passion for games and game development, with a strong drive to deliver polished, enjoyable player experiences. Commitment to the overall quality of the game, not just individual tasks or technical solutions, while understanding real-world constraints and making pragmatic trade-offs.
- Ownership & Collaboration: Ability to independently drive tasks from start to finish, proactively gather information, and pay close attention to detail. Strong sense of ownership balanced with respect for existing architecture, team conventions, and other engineers' perspectives. Ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities, make pragmatic trade-offs, and focus on what matters most for the project.
